Summary
On November 4, 2025, members of the Young America’s Foundation chapter at Oklahoma State University (OSU) reported multiple incidents of harassment and vandalism at their campus outreach table. The students, including chairman Thomas Hatfield and vice chairman Caleb Buxton, said an individual approached their table four times during the day, taking and discarding flyers, stickers, and pins. According to the students, the individual called them “fascists” and declared that “fascists don’t have rights,” at one point telling the students to “fuck off” as they destroyed the materials.
The incidents were captured on video, which the students shared to document the confrontation. The YAF chapter emphasized that the repeated harassment disrupted their efforts to engage with fellow students and highlighted broader tensions around free speech and conservative viewpoints on campus. The group characterized the actions as targeted and intentional, noting that the individual approached the table multiple times despite requests to stop.
Following the incidents, members of the YAF chapter filed a police report, and the university’s police department confirmed it is investigating the matter. University officials also stated that OSU “supports the rights of student groups to express their opinions and speak freely,” and the student-conduct office is involved in reviewing the situation. The YAF members additionally called on the university to adopt the organization’s “Contract for Safe Campus Dialog” to ensure protections for campus expression.
